Procedures

The IMC Digital Technology Awards (previously IT Awards) will be given to companies headquartered or listed in India. The exception is Awards under Category 4 where the eligibility is only for overseas companies.

Applicants are requested to specifically state under which category they are nominating their application for an Award. Companies are eligible to apply for multiple categories too.

Participants can Contest for 30 awards across 6 Categories. The awards would not only recognize technological discovery and initiativethat has benefited the mass users but also sparked growth through digital transformation.

With the objective of making the competition more meaningful, Category 1, 4 5,and Category 6 are further sub-divided into 2 types of companies:

  • Companies with revenues of less than Rs 250 crores
  • Companies with revenues of more than Rs 250 crores

Category 1 (6 Awards)

For Software and BPO / ITES Companies:

Awards:

  • IT Services Award
  • IT Product Award
  • BPO / ITES Award

Criteria:
This Award will be given to companies on the basis of:

  • The business challenges faced and addressed by their software.
  • Innovative use of technology.
  • How the solution has helped their customers.
  • How the solution improved customer efficiency, market share and employee productivity.

Category 2 (3 Awards)

For IT Companies

Awards:

  • Quality Award on the basis of Quality Certifications and their recognitions related to quality.
  • CSR Award on the basis of an activity engaged in by the company towards CSR, using IT.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award applications are not solicited since this Award will be decided by the Jury itself.

Category 3 (3 Awards)

For Emerging Technologies (SMAC etc) and Most Promising Start-up

Awards:

  • These awards will be given for initiatives and accomplishments in Emerging Technologies such as Robotic Process Automation / Software Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, BigData and MDM (Master Data Management), Cloud, Analytics, Mobility, Social Media, etc.

Criteria:
This Award will be given considering:

  • Initiatives Revenues and growth in Emerging Technologies.
  • Any significant achievement by the company in Emerging Technology.

Awards would be given for the most promising Start-up company in IT

Criteria
This Award will be given considering:

  • Have started business no earlier than 1 April 2013.
  • Be ‘independently owned’. This is defined as a business which is substantially owned by its founders and/or a group of independent investors; is not quoted on any stock market; and is not a subsidiary or associated company of another business.
  • The jury is looking for a great business idea. Those with excellent potential will always rank more highly in the final reckoning. This will be based on revenue growth/potential of growth, profitability, and major client wins.
  • Initiatives Revenues and growth in Emerging Technologies.
  • Any significant achievement by the company in Emerging Technology.

Category 4 (2 Awards)

For Overseas IT Companies and Captive units of Overseas companies:

Awards:

  • Best overseas IT company on the basis of revenues and headcount in India, nature of its business related to both exports and the domestic Indian market and any significant development efforts.
  • Best Captive Unit of an Overseas company will be judged on the basis of quality of work done by them, growth rate and any significant initiative or development efforts.

Category 5 (12 Awards)

For End Users of IT in 6 categories as below:

Awards:

  • BFSI
  • Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Healthcare and Pharma
  • Utilities – Telecom, Gas, Infrastructure, Electricity, Transportation, Logistics, etc.
  • Education
  • • Retail &eCommerce

Criteria:

  • Innovative use of technology to solve a business problem.
  • Use of IT to increase business competitiveness.
  • Use of IT to increase efficiency and deliver quantifiable returns to all stakeholders.

Category 6 (4 Awards)

Award for Digital Transformation Service Provider:

Criteria:
This Award will be given considering:

  • Company applying for this Award is an IT Service Provider / Product Company.
  • It has been in existence for at least five years.
  • Percentage change in Revenues in last five years through Digital Transformation services / product.
  • Proven capabilities in Digital technologies stack plus areas like UX/UI, IoT, Digital Security offerings etc.
  • Investments in Digital capabilities and Technologies.
  • Any significant case study that shows true digital transformation for a client.

Award for Digitally Enabled Organisation

Criteria:
This Award will be given considering:

  • Company applying for this Award is an end user of Digital Technologies
  • It has been in existence for at least five years.
  • Percentage change in Revenues in last 3 years through Digital Transformation.
  • Investments in Digital transformation initiatives.
  • Any significant case study that shows true business benefit through digital transformation
